Plenary
lectures
Plenary lecturers will be invited to address
the above topics. Oral presentations will be selected by the Scientific
Committee; selected speakers will be invited with the support of
the European Commission. The programme will include a presentation
on the European Research Area, and its food safety focus, by a member
of the European Commission.
Papers and posters
Papers and posters will be considered to be
of equal status. Authors who would like to present a paper/poster
are asked to complete the attached reply-slip, provide an abstract
(100-150 words) and return to the Conference Secretary by
15th February 2002. The abstract should include the title of the
paper, names and the addresses of the authors (corresponding author
underlined), the objectives and main results of the research;
such information will help the Scientific Committee to select
papers and prepare detailed programme of the conference.
Authors of selected abstracts will be asked to provide
full papers by 1st May 2002, so as to be included in the conference
proceedings. In the tradition of the Division's conferences, a
prize will be presented to the author/s of the poster judged best
by representatives from the Scientific Committee.
Workshop
Workshop addressing the food allergenicity is planned as a post-conference
event. This will include inputs from ongoing EU research projects
and will serve to further develop effective links and networks
in advance of the ERA.
