International Project between Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn and Department of Chemistry University of Leuven Number of Project: 679/N-BELGIA/2010/0 Start Date: March 19th, 2010 Duration: 36 months Short description of the proposal: We aim to study of novel electro-mediator layers based on homo and hetero derivatives of metal oligomers and electrochemical characteristic of it. The best one will be used as molecular nano-unit to perform the construction of biosensor for monitoring of food and medical diagnosis. Such nano-units are especially interesting and could be used for construction of enzymatic biosensors and sensors with redox-active proteins. Also we would like to analyze changes of transductive properties of proposed layers depending on length of oligopolymers investigated metallocomplexes, its structure, number of metal in oligopolymer and influence of many metals in oligopolymer. Fundamental unit for construction of nano-units will be olipolymers of metallocomplex (Cu, Co, Ni, Fe) of dipyromethene, porphyrin and corrole. As a part of this project we would like to study the methods of immobilization of bioreceptors on the surface of electrodes using nano-units base on metaloorganic complexes oligomers.
