Laboratory of Biotechnic and Reproductive Biotechnology, is equipped with high-quality testing equipment and professional tools for assessing the quality of reproductive cells and their maintenance at different temperatures. Task of the laboratory is a comprehensive evaluation of the determinants of the quality of sperm of mammals, birds and fish, as well as oocytes and embryos. Laboratory equipment will also provide a fully professional sperm cryopreservation of the animal gametes and the mammalian embryos. This could be the basis for the establishment of the Bank of Semen and Embryos of the economically important and threatened with extinction species, which is part of the current issue of biodiversity protection.
